1901-1902

The last league table traced comes from the main Newcastle newspapers for April 26th, 1902.  There were 11 matches still left to play at that stage and the results of these are unknown.  It would appear, however, that the positions at the top and bottom of the Northern Alliance were not affected.

The Jarrow v. Shankhouse fixture was not completed.  The Consett and Dudley clubs were both re-elected and it appears that North Shields Athletic were admitted to the competition.  Unfortunately, the 1904-1905 table has yet to ‘come to light’, so it is impossible to be certain about very much for the campaign, except that Willington Athletic emerged as champions.
