Murton, Washington and Whickham all joined the Northern League.  Ryhope CW and SC Vaux merged to form Vaux Ryhope FC.  Hebburn Reyrolles became simply Hebburn.  Cleator Moor Celtic were elected to what became Division 1, as a new, 12-club 2nd Division was formed. 

 

The clubs elected to the newly-formed section were Greatham, Lambton Street, Leam Lane, NEI Parsons, Nissan, Silksworth, Stanley United, Stockton EDC, Thornley WMC, Wingate Parish, Winlaton Youngs Descaling and Wolvistion.

Greatham (who became Greatham Mayfair Centre), Nissan and Wolviston were promoted to Division 1.  Stockton EDC resigned during the season and their record was deleted.  Felling Leam Lane and Winlaton Youngs Descaling left the league.  Five new clubs were elected to Division 2, these being Darlington Railway Athletic, Marchon, South Shields Cleadon SC, Usworth Village and Windscale.
